Privacy and Security

Kristen Chef takes our customers' privacy and security very seriously. We've been in business for over 30 years because we take care of our customers and we do things right. We will never sell or give your information to 3rd parties.

We have taken the following steps to secure your information when processing orders online:

  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL): Kristen Chef uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption when transmitting certain kinds of information, such as financial services information or payment information. An icon resembling a padlock is displayed on the bottom of most browsers window during SSL transactions that involve credit cards and other forms of payment. Any time a we ask for a credit card number during checkout for payment, it will be SSL encrypted. The information you provide will be stored securely on Yahoo! servers.

  • CISP Compliance: Yahoo! stores like ours are certified CISP-compliant. Created by Visa and MasterCard, the Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) outlines a standard for security procedures for merchants and service providers that store, process, or transmit cardholder data.

Kristen Chef runs on the Yahoo small business platform which protects your personal information using their secure process and also encrypts your payment information as well. Even the owner of this company does not have access to it.

You can also order securely using Paypal, a trusted name in online payments.

Finally, we are certified as an Upfront Merchant.
